On June 22, 2020, Collins Leach and Wilkes Leach were traveling with family on the interstate to go meet their mother, so they could all celebrate Collins’ 6th birthday. They never made it.
As they were exiting the interstate, a semi-truck and trailer struck the rear of their vehicle. Collins was killed. Her brother and the parent in the vehicle with them survived with some injuries, only to learn later that Collins was gone.
Collins was a wonderful person with the most amazing personality. She was filled with life, and brought joy to everyone that she met. Collins never met a stranger, and just wanted everyone to be happy. She had everything going for her and was loved deeply by many. In a fraction of a second, her life ended prematurely, and many others were changed forever, all because of a crash that was completely preventable.
