On September 11, 2019, Jim DeSalvo was riding his bike near his home in Wayne, NJ. Near him, an overloaded, unmaintained dump truck that was working for the township blew two tires. One of the tires flew off and hit Jim.
Jim was taken to the hospital, where he died on September 23.
No criminal charges were ever filed.
