On April 10, 2014 I got the worse phone call a mother could ever receive. The bus my son Anthony’s was on had been in a crash. He was headed up north to Humboldt University to tour the college. He had been accepted to attend, and they offered a free tour. A Fed Ex double tractor trailer had crossed over the freeway into oncoming traffic and collided head on with the bus. We do not know why this happened, unfortunately. That day we lost 10 beautiful people. Anthony was severely injured and spent a week in ICU. He suffers from PTSD and his right arm will never have full normal function. But he has pushed through it all and is one strong human. He graduated from Hunter College in 2021 with his BA in Psychology.
