On September 28, 2019, a semi-truck was traveling eastbound on the 91 Freeway when its trailer detached, and both the truck and trailer came to a stop in the middle of the lane. Arthur Brice was on his way home from a shift as a police officer when he struck the rear of the disabled trailer, causing his vehicle to spin to the right and strike a second semi.
Arthur died at the hospital of injuries sustained in the crash.
